Ash openly admits to being lazy and says his looks have given him ‘an easy, blessed life filled with women’. He has an easy going laid back charm that he often uses to his advantage, and describes himself as an ‘unabashed flirt, who doesn’t want to settle down’.

He currently single and prefers it that way ‘life is so much less complicated without being tied down’. His last relationship was over a year ago, ‘it just fizzled out, she didn’t trust me and I ended up getting hurt’.

He is a big party boy and claims to be well known in Manchester, where he grew up – he can’t imagine living anywhere else. He’s passionate about having a good time, stating ‘life’s too short. I think everyone should make the most of each day by having it large’.

The 26-year-old still lives at home with his mum as he enjoys her cooking. He says ‘my mum’s one of my best friends, I’m a mummy’s boy and tell her everything – she’s one of the lads’. He uses being brought up by women to his advantage and knows how to turn on the charm, claiming his good looks have got him everything and anything he’s wanted from an early age.

Ash was always part of the ‘good-looking, popular group’ at school and was even friends with the majority of his teachers. His favourite subject was PE as it just came naturally to him: ‘It was always a subject that ensured I caught the ladies eyes’.

He is now a model, but having previously worked for his dad’s building firm from a young age, he isn’t afraid to get dirty – despite his blessed looks, he’s known by his family and friends as ‘the local handyman’. David Beckham is his ultimate idol – he sees himself as ‘a younger, better looking version’ of the footballer.

Ash – who also studied law at college, and business and management at university – attends his local gym daily as well as playing football three times a week usually spends the whole summer in Ibiza ‘working and getting wrecked’. He classes himself as a ‘cheeky chappy’ and a ‘class clown’ and believes he’ll be a ‘laid back, handsome housemate who’s always up for fun’.

    @elle
    Does fun always have to be dictated on Helen and Ash’s terms? Does it always have to be at others expense? It’s fine to be strong minded and to speak your mind but what I object to is Helen’s habit of identifying and picking people off as the next target for her campaign of hatred and bullying – which she involves Ash and others in (the so called cool housemates) and they go along with it. Both Helen and Ash should be out. Helen for being such a prize bully and Ash for being a prize P. :up:

    I still cant believe that the public saved Ash. I don’t think he realises how manipulative Helen really is, and although he is not as vile and vicious as she is I think he has realised his guilt by her association, it will be interesting to see if he can rein in her disgusting behaviour but I have a feeling that the pair of them will grow in conceited confidence at having ‘won’

    @Jane Shepherd Yeah, I’m still genuinely shocked Ash stayed.

    Still not convinced there wasn’t something fishy going on behind the scenes with that one.

    I thought Ash may of gone because people are gunning for Helen, but not totally surprised it was Matthew.

    Well if folk want to remove themselves and sit on their own why moan god Ashleigh has bitched about everyone in that house she just hasn’t got the bottle to say it .

    @jj easy question. Ashleigh does noting but talk about people behind their backs, she’s spoiling for a fight and she has not formed her own opinions but is carrying on Toya’s legacy. :down:

    What exactly is it that Ash has done that’s so offensive – he’s just a lad – sexist remarks about women sniff sniff – people need to get a life – you hear that bollocks down the pub every day – who gives a shite! He’s the best looking bloke in the house by a long way and I rather like him viewing him! If he goes I’ll be tuning out. Its all a load of old pants anyway really ain’t it!

    @Barb he thinks he is better than the others he is incredibly arrogant when people dare to put him up for nomination he gets really offended and lashes out because he thinks that as he's more beautiful than everyone else he should get special treatment. He laughs when Helen picks on the vulnerable and has even been seen goding her on. He only befriends the 'popular' crowd and calls the others 'boring' behind there backs when he himself is completely one dimensional and dull as dish water. I agree with you though he is gorgeous if you watched him with sound turned down he would be ideal man! 😀

    I really don’t like Ash… He believes he is way above everyone else and his comments are really offensive. Blokes can be blokes and us girls usually put up with most of it… You just can’t help yourselves!!! Lol… But Ashes comments are down right nasty… Name calling is really juvenile but making comments about peoples looks is nasty and unnecessary… He also loads the gun for Helen to fire… He would never be loyal to anyone but himself…

    Nicky I agree, I also think he now realises that his allegiance with Helen could do more harm than good, I think he will still be attached to her like an appendage but he will try to ingratiate towards the others. He often sets up the situation for Helen to come in all guns blazing then he is the first to comfort her, not that I have any sympathy towards her, she is truly awful, but as far as Ash goes sly and lazy are the adjectives that spring to mind.

    Ash is one of those people who was clearly very popular throughout his school and adult life. He’s a bit spoilt and cocky, not used to negative comments from people especially women, but I don’t dislike him. Despite Helen’s flaws he’s stood up for her like a loyal friend should. Yes he needs to try and calm Helen down rather than just supporting her but I think it’s a very nice and endearing quality.

    @jazz I don’t mind Ash either. I think we’ve seen a much better side to him at the two “parties” that Helen was excluded from.

    His friendship with Helen does him no favours however.

    “Despite Helen’s flaws he’s stood up for her like a loyal friend should.” I do not believe a friend should stick up for someone when they are clearly in the wrong. That is being an enabler.

    I agree with you, it would be much better for a loyal friend to pull Helen up, explain to her that her behaviour is unacceptable and try to help her change her ways.

    I’ve just watched tonights episode which sums up exactly what I was saying earlier.

    Mark, Ash, Winston and Chris all just sat by, giggling to themselves (to be fair Chris walked away) while Helen unloaded on Christopher.

    I can’t understand the mentality of people who would do that.

    Ash loads the gun for Helen to fire… He eggs her on by laugh and giggling no way is he a true friend to her …. The other boys are looking to him to “copy” the same behaviour and Ash is fully aware of what he is doing !!!! He makes Helen twice as bad!!!

    Yuk did you hear him in bed with Helen in tonight’s show he said that he felt that the others were victimising Helen. Yeah cos she really looked like a victim when she went out there screaming at Ashleigh and ash was giggling again! Poor Ashleigh she looked scared. I wish they would show the housemates all the nasty comments Helen has said!

    The poll on the home page…. When I looked yesterday jale and Chris had hardly any votes…. Today she has loads and yet her page hasn’t changed!!!! Very odd…. Be interesting on Friday !!! …..last week another very odd thing happened….. The poll stated that Ash was leading….. The crowd were chanting Ash…. And his page was a lot of negativity….. And yet it was Matthew who left????? Very very odd….. I hope to god BB isn’t fixing this…..if they are and it comes out that will be the end of BB for good…… Something smells really funny…

    @Nicky defo something going on that is fishy!!!!!
    my friend along with some others were in Friday’s crowd and they were there as the BOOO crowd for ASH but they were asked by some BB staff/officials/security or ? what housemate were they supporting and they said here to Boo Ash and they thought it was a joke when they were ushered away to the back. WHY DID BB DO THAT.?

    @Argyll @Nicky

    This definitely does seem odd. And Big Brother are appealing for votes for the show to win best reality programme at the National Television Awards!! Maybe the reason that the post on some Hm’s pages are fewer is because people (myself included) feel more impassioned to react the to feeds on people like Helen Ash etc.. Its kind of easier to air our dislikes rather than likes if you get my meaning, but for Ash to remain last week seems really strange, be interesting to see what happens this week. Did anyone give an explanation to your friends Argyll ?
