Ellis works in a fast food restaurant and lives with her mum and two sisters in Cambuslang, a town on the outskirts of Glasgow. She is 4’8” and wears size two shoes. She has been known to shop in the 9-10 year old section at times.

Ellis is currently single and is open to the idea of finding love in the House. She has a phobia of Cliff Richard and the theme tune from Casualty.

She can’t stand mess and doesn’t understand people who don’t tidy up after themselves, which she may find difficult in the House.  The most expensive thing she has ever bought is a pair of Gucci Sliders. She will miss Irn-Bru and her own bed whilst in the House.

Q&A

Why are you taking part in Big Brother?
I have always been a fan of the show. When I was watching Celebrity Big Brother in January with my friend, and I said I would really love to be there, my friend was like, ‘Why don’t you apply?’ And I was like, ‘No, I will never get on it,’ and she was like, ‘Go on.’ So I applied, and I honestly thought I would never hear anything back. And then one day, I was having a really bad day, like I was honestly really upset, so I went to my friend’s house – the one who helped me apply, she filmed my video – and then I got a phone call from an unknown number. I normally don’t answer them, but they asked me to come to an audition day. I was like, ‘Oh my.’

What will you bring to the House?
Lots of laughs, lots of fun. I am quite upbeat, so if anyone is in a bad mood I feel I will put them in such a good mood. I can always bring people’s moods up. I am always singing and stuff. I don’t care if I annoy anyone, they can deal with it. I am not going to change myself for anybody. It is not as if I am so annoying every two seconds. Well, if people don’t like it then byeeee…

Are you a Big Brother fan?
Uh-huh, and a lot of my family are as well. My fave ever housemate was Lateysha [Grace], I thought she was good. I liked Andrew last year until he stole all the money, because who would do that. I think it is shocking. I would never steal anything.

What kind of Housemate will you get on with?
Someone who is fun and is up for a good laugh and a carry on. Someone who does not take themselves too seriously, if you get what I mean. I tend to get on with a good range of people. Like someone who was a few years older, people like that they do tend to like me as I am not immature and I am interested in what people have got to say, I love finding out about people.

What kind of Housemate will you not get on with?
Someone who is stuck up or someone who is a nasty person. Like that does not sit well with me, a bully, I don’t like that. I would tell them to take a back seat – they would be told to sit down and pipe down. Not that I get involved with things, but if someone made someone upset I’d be like, ‘Who do you think you are.’

What will you miss most from the outside world?
A freezing can of Irn-Bru.

What is your favourite possession?
I collect cups and pens, so one of my special cups. I have different ones for different things. I have a One Direction cup – it looks like a can but is not a can, it is a cup, and I use that for milk. I have 30 cups.

Anything you would not do on camera?
I would not have sex on camera, not a chance. If anyone got a bit jazzy next to me I would be fuming, that is disgusting. I would not do that on TV as my wee gran is 80. I don’t want to kill her off. Do you know what I mean?

What can we expect from you as a Housemate?
I am always smiling and happy. Obviously there are times when I am upset or angry, but I always look for the positives in things. It is mind over matter and you will become happy.

How would you go about winning Big Brother?
If people like me then that’s it, I am just going to be me.
