Sîan is a single mother who lives in Barnsley with her four-year-old son. She works as a waitress in a café in Barnsley market and her face was used on an advertising billboard to promote the café.

Her type is “manly men who look a bit rough”. She is a morning person and reckons her early morning high energy levels will annoy others.

Sîan has a very sweet tooth and thinks she will struggle without unlimited chocolate in the House. If she could change anything about herself she says she would make herself more intelligent.

Why are you taking part in Big Brother?
I’m spontaneous – I’m the type of person to book a holiday on my own and just go and see new things. I am in a routine – go to work, go to café, to home. I’ve never applied before, but when your mates push you to something and you get really excited. I’m going to see what will happen. I think my family and friends will be really shocked to see me going into the House.

What will you bring to the House?
Hopefully I will be the happy one. Some people get miserable after a few days without anything to do, so hopefully I will think of things to do and uplift people. When my friends are down they come to mine – I feed them. I will be the happy Housemate.

Are you a Big Brother fan?
Yes, I can remember watching it from when I was young. But I don’t really watch telly now, I don’t religiously watch anything.

What kind of housemate will you get on with?
People who are a bit extra and wired. I am a crazy magnet; I attract crazy people.

What kind of Housemate would you not get on with?
People that love themselves and are miserable.

What will you miss from the outside world?
My son, and food- mayonnaise. I have mayonnaise and gravy on everything. I don’t eat healthy; I don’t eat veg or salad.

What is your favourite possession?
I am not materialistic. I lived abroad for a year, I did not have a phone or a telly. I am more of a people person and like going out and doing stuff. I am not a technology person.

How would you go about winning Big Brother?
I don’t think I will win. I don’t want to go out the first week. I will be happy if I can get past the first week.
