“I understand I am a polarising person, but you need polarising people in society.”

Tomasz came to England 10 years ago and is happy to live “in the UK where I’m happy to be who I am”. He has been in a relationship for seven years. They have had an open relationship for the last three years.

He describes himself as gender fluid but does not get upset by being labelled as any specific gender: “Anything goes; it really doesn’t bother me.”

He is most passionate about LGBTQ+ issues around the world, income equality and computer games. He would spend his Big Brother winnings on becoming a UK citizen.

Q&A

What are you taking part in Big Brother?
It’s an adventure of a lifetime, come on. You can only just get it once in your life, and if you don’t get it then you’re missing out. If you’re chosen, then you’re making memories for life.

What are you going to bring to the House?
I think fun, for sure, and a little bit of a grounding atmosphere. I’m not scared to call people out if they’re being ridiculous. I’ve had to deal with lots of ridiculous people in my life, and eventually I found my voice and I know what to say to make them rethink their actions or what they’re saying. I’m also going to bring compassion and understanding, because for me it’s easy to put myself in somebody else’s position and see their side of the story.

Are you a Big Brother fan?
I’ve watched American Big Brother and Canadian Big Brother. My favourite Housemate of all time is Courtney Act. She was amazing.

What kind of Housemate will you get on with?
Somebody honest, because that’s what I value. Somebody kind, and who would want to make your life easier, who would help you out with problems. Because this is the kind of person that I am. I’ll always reach out to another person and try to help them out as much as I can.

What are you going to miss the most from the outside world?
I have a really simple life, but I’ll miss my Saturday evenings with my fiancé when we have pizza and just hang out.

What’s your favourite possession?
It has to be my PC, because I’m a geek at heart, I love computer games. So I love to go online and game with other people around the world.

Anything you would not do on camera?
Probably get fully naked, that’s for sure. I’m going to spare people that sight.

What can we expect from you when you go in the house?
I’m a cleaner, so I’ll do my part of that. I’ll stay away from the kitchen because I don’t want to poison anybody. I’m not a good cook.

How would you go about winning Big Brother?
It’s hard to picture that. If I won, I would only want to win it with integrity and compassion and kindness. I don’t want to be stabbing anyone in the back.
